To get the best experience, you should calculate ca 1,5 - 2 hrs for your visit at the museum exhibitions, film and reconstructed Chieftain´s house. Add extra time to see the Viking ship, boathouse and blacksmith´s forge (15 - 20 min walk from Chieftain´s house). Add extra time if you wish to row the Viking ship or participate in Viking games and meals. 

All year: the Chieftain´s house is open. Arts and crafts, decorations, artifacts. Meet the Vikings, who are happy to answer all questions. 
Exhibitions: archaeological artefacts and film: self-guided tour with smartphones - BRING your own - and headsets (available in 6 languages; Norwegian, German, English, Italian, Spanish, French). Film starts every 20 min. 
Museum gift shop is open when museum is open. Wide selection of gifts, Lofoten and Viking related items. 

01.06. – 31.08.:  Museum café open. Also, the "Skjeltersjåen café" is open medio June - medio August. 

Every eveing, all year (closed on a few bank holidays, open even on New Years evening): Viking style meals. Delicous food, Vikings and roleplay. Book in advance. 

15.06. – 31.08.: extra activities between ca 1200 - ca 1700 (row the Viking ship and Viking games are inclusive in the entrance ticket). 

Row the Viking ship, several daily departures. NB! From Aug 20: 1100 - 1600. 
Try your hand at axe throwing and archery. 
Sale of Viking lamb soup and the "drink of the gods", mead, in the Chieftain´s house ca 1200 - 16/1700. (only June 15 - Aug 15)
Black smith in the forge, 5 days pr week.
