In February 2021, the museum is open Feb 24th and Feb 27th (school holidays).

What's on at Lofotr Vikingmuseum in February?

Due to Covid-19, the museum is closed in February, with exception of Feb 24th and 27th. Both these days there are extra activities well suited for families. 


Opening hours can be found here.
Visit outside opening hours can be booked in advance (groups). When the museum is open:

Archeological exhibition, film and the Chieftain's House are open.
Bring your smartphone to listen to the stories about the findings that are displayed.
Viking Feast every evening for individual guests (prebooked) at 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM.
The Museum Gift Shop is open during museum opening hours.

On the following days we have extra activities:
Saturday, February 1: Visit by local Viking reenactment group, "Lofoten Vikinglag".
Saturday, February 8: Children's Viking Saturday - Viking braids for children
Saturday, February 15: Children's Viking Saturday - Leather bracelet
Saturday, February 22: Children's Viking Saturday - Rune amulet
Tuesday, February 25: Anniversary event - Children's Viking feast for local kindergarden kids
Saturday, February 29: Children's Viking Saturday - Rune jour
