The summer season is approaching

The Viking ship is on the water and the houses are tarred! The summer season is almost here and we are looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces!

The Viking ship is prepared with traditional linseed oil paint

As part of the preparations for the summer season, the Viking ship is painstakingly painted with traditional linseed oil paint. Now the ship is on the water, it needs to absorb sunlight and sea air for the paint to dry properly.

Vikings and their amazing Viking ship will be sailing again soon! We are looking forward to a summer with hopefully good weather and with many sailing trips. The Viking ship, Vargfotr, is ready to conquer the waves of Borgpollen.

The longhouse and the boathouse

But it doesn’t stop there! The longhouse and boathouse are also getting a makeover. With a generous dose of tar, we are sure that they are equipped for all the weather and wind we may encounter this summer. So there is a nice smell of smoke in the area around the longhouse!

Now that the Viking ship is on the water and the buildings have been tarred, we are ready for a fantastic summer in Lofotr!
