Viking lady shooting an arrow

BOW AND ARROW

Shooting with bow and arrow was a skill the Vikings had to master both for battle and for hunting.

Duration: approx. 5 min                  Recommended from 6 years                     Included in ticket

Description:

Close to the Viking ship harbour you will find our archery arena. Here you can try your hand at this activity yourself, with good help from our experienced staff.

Practical info:

Bows and arrows are handed out by our staff. Three arrows are dealt per person, so everyone shoots three times before it’s the next person’s turn. You will receive explanation and guidance from the our staff.  Make sure you only shoot at the targets and not elsewhere. After you have finished shooting, the staff will pick up the arrows and give them to the next participant.

We recommend that there are children from 6 years and up who participate in the bow and arrow. If you have younger children who want to shoot, please be active in helping your child. Children under 3 years old should not participate, maybe you can throw horseshoes instead?

This activity is available 15.06 – 30.08 during our opening hours.
