In October it is autumn in Lofoten. Every evening there is also a Viking Feast for individuals and if you're lucky you might see the northern lights dance over the longhouse.
In July, very much is going on at the Viking Museum. Viking games, Viking ship, the Vikings' warm lunch is served in the Chieftain's House, several skilled craftsmen are present and both the indoor and the outdoor cafe are open.

Spring is a great time in Lofoten! In May the animals come out on pastures around the museum when weather permits, and the Viking ship comes on the water. It's bright outside and the midnight sun season returns just before the month changes to June.
In April, spring is fast approaching, the days are much brighter and the dark nights are starting to disappear. Winter with the Vikings in Lofoten is coming to an end, and a warmer time is dawning.
March is a great month for seeing the northern lights, the days are quickly brighter and brighter, and the weather changes frequently. There is much to see in the world's largest longhouse from the Viking era. There are also many days of extra activities, not least during the winter holidays.
In June the summer season properly starts at the Viking Museum. There is a lot of activity and a lot going on. Viking games, Viking ship, and the outdoor café opens up in the Viking Ship Harbor; artisans are present, and the Vikings' warm lunch is served in the Chieftain's House; and the museum café in the arrival facility opens fully.
The polar night is on the wane and it is slowly begins to move towards brighter times. Outside you can see the northern lights dance across the sky if the weather is good. Inside you can visit the archaeological exhibition, film and the reconstructed Chieftain's House and the museum gift shop is open. In addition, most nights we have a Viking Feast.
In August, the summer season in Lofoten is waning, but the Vikingmuseum is still active. There will be Viking games, trips with the Viking ship early in August and the outdoor café will be open in the Viking harbor thoughout most of August. The Vikings' warm lunch takes place until mid-month.
