The scent of tar and smoke - step into the world's largest longhouse from Viking age and see how the Vikings lived.
Explore the Viking Age through a visit to the Viking chieftain´s house - which is the world's largest - the scent of tar and smoke, there are crafts, decorations, and exhibitions related to the Vikings' worldview/mythology. In addition, you can see the archeological exhibition. See unique objects and join a journey more than 1000 years back in time. Drømmen om Borg" is shown (note that the movie can be a little scary for children, go with an adult). The museum gift shop is always open when the museum is open.
Opening hours:
01.10. - 30.10: Wednesday - Saturday - 11:00-15:00
Groups can order Viking meals and visits in the museum by contacting our booking. Groups can pre-book for all days for visits outside opening hours.
