During the winter holidays we are open and look forward to visits from children and family!
We have a little open this winter!
Due to the corona, the opening hours are limited, but we are still open for a few days. Now is your chance to visit us.
We are open in connection with the schools' winter holidays, with some extra activities for children and families.Opening hours:
24. February Wednesday - Song and Music
27. February Saturday - Stick bread baking
Winter holiday in Lofoten (week 9).

Practical information about the activities:
Song and music: The Vikings also had musical instruments, some make musical tones, and others can you make rhythms with. The children get to hear a couple of Viking songs and see some different musical instruments. This has been a popular and atmospheric activity in the past, and we look forward to gathering children and adults around music again.
Stick bread baking and Viking pizza: It's nice to stay around the fire. It is also useful - because over the fire you can cook. With dough made with ingredients from the Viking Age, wrapped around a stick, fry it over the fire for good stick bread. We can also make «Viking pizza» over the fire. Children and adults make pizza the Viking way, with ingredients that were available at the time, in the fireplace. Rarely do guests enjoy themselves so much indoors as when they get to enjoy the warmth of the fire and the atmosphere in the Viking world.
In addition, you can of course experience the archaeological exhibition which consists of unique finds found here at Borg. The museum gift shop is always open when the museum is open and you can experience the world's longest reconstructed chieftain's house.

Groups can order Viking meals by contacting our booking. Groups can pre-book for all days for visits outside opening hours.
